The Opportunity

The website was originally developed just to serve Anel and assist in getting her practice going. However it’s been so successful in getting visits from around the country that Anel decided to let other people from other areas list to be more useful. It features very highly in search results for very relevant keywords and phrases. To better serve these inquiries we’d like to list one educational psychologist in each major region around the country. The individual regions have been chosen so as to ensure that the maximum amount of clients around the country can be served, and also that psychologists listed benefit optimally from leads and are not in competition to each other.

FEES

I charge medical aid rates that are tailored to your specific MEDICAL AID. As I claim directly from them and charge according to their specific rate, I can guarantee that there will be no surcharges.

GEMS, POLMED, MEDIHELP, CAMAF and BONITAS clients please note that due to non-payment on behalf of your medical aids – clients who belong to these medical aids will unfortunately be treated as private patients. You will need to obtain an authorisation number in order to claim this money back from them.

My PRIVATE PATIENT FEES for parents who are not on medical aid are:

Therapy: R800.00 per hour

Assessments (all inclusive): R4700.00

This includes the background meeting* + feedback meeting + assessment + report.

* Background meetings are important, but if you are absolutely unable to meet with me for a background meeting I can send you background documents to complete via e-mail and there is then no charge for a background meeting – the full cost of the assessment is then R3900.00

ABOUT ORIT

Orit has an extensive range of experience in child/adolescent, family and educational psychology. Her focus is the psychological, educational, social, emotional and behavioural development of individuals in order to assist them in reaching their true potential.

Orit Grossman has a Masters Degree in Educational psychology from the University of Witwatersrand and is also a qualified high school and primary school teacher. She has previously taught at primary and high school level. It was during her teaching career that Orit realised the profound impact in an individual’s life when they can receive more individualised, holistic support unique to their own context. She, therefore, embarked on her journey to becoming an Educational Psychologist. She worked in NGO’s before going into private practice in 2007.

Orit Grossman specialises in child and adolescent psychotherapy. She offers therapy to children and young people with emotional or behavioural difficulties, including:

About Jenny:

Jenny da Silva (M.Ed. (Ed Psych) (UJ); B.Ed. (Hons) (Ed Psych) (RAU); B.Ed. (Life Orientation) (RAU)) is a registered Educational Psychologist in private practice in Radiokop, Roodepoort / Randburg, South Africa. She is the director of the Milton H. Erickson Institute of South Africa. She received her training as an Ericksonian psychotherapist and Ego-State Therapist through the Milton Erickson Institute of South Africa (MEISA). She is also trained in Eye Movement Integration (EMI) and Somatic Experiencing (SE). She has presented at international and national conferences on the utilization of Ericksonian Principles in conjunction with ego-state interventions with children. She is regularly consulted by journalists and the media on various topics. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D in Ericksonian and Ego-state approaches to grief.

Jenny works from a transtheoretical approach where the client’s readiness for change is taken into account and therapy is tailored to the individual’s needs and strengths.
